Lightning Protector Lightning Rod

What is an Arrestor or Downloader?

Coaxial arresters or also called Lightning Protector or Surge Arrestor are passive lightning rod equipment to protect passive electrical installation equipment from overdischarges mainly produced by lightning.

Also called a surge protective device (SPD) or transient surge suppressor (TVSS), this class of device is used to protect equipment in power transmission and distribution systems.

Different manufacturers with different connector types and frequencies

At the end of the day, the objective is always the same, not to allow lightning and consequently the surge of energy it produces to enter the system and destroy everything through which it passes. There are Arrestors with N, DIN 7/16, BNC connectors among others. Lightning Protector Lightning Rods are also manufactured with different working frequencies depending on the system that is mounted, so one or the other will have to be installed.

In addition, it must be said that there are also different technologies, the most common being GAS or QUARTER WAVE lambda/4.

Arrestor models and types

Due to the fact that as progress has been made with the different technologies, the coaxial arresters have been manufactured in female or male, adapting to the different technologies in the sector. Some of them that are highly requested in the RF sector are the ones that we list below:

Solutions

Silex System Telecom offers a wide range of arresters and arrestors, especially suitable for radio frequency and mobile telephony. Mainly the adapters are used to interconnect coaxial cables of different standards such as DIN 7/16, type N, 4.3/10 and others.

In general, our precision manufactured Low PIM adapters have been designed and developed with passive intermodulation values and reflection factors as low as possible.

With resistance to abrasion, deterioration over time and corrosion, they are fundamental elements for any need for coaxial extension both indoors and outdoors.

If you do not find the right solution for your specific needs among the adapters presented in our product portfolio, we would appreciate it if you would contact us to send us a request adding your comment or product need and required specifications.
